Escape the Screen — Privacy & Terms

Last updated 4 October 2026 · com.jauntym.escapethescreen · Android and iOS

Escape the Screen is a single-player puzzle game. It has no accounts and never asks for your name, email, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location. Your progress stays on your phone. The free version shows a few ads through Google AdMob, and those ads are the one part of the game that uses data about your device; that is explained below.

Who we are

Escape the Screen is made by Asad Khalil (JauntyM), an independent developer in Pakistan. Contact: [email protected].

What the game keeps on your phone

To remember where you are, the game saves a small amount of data on your device only:

None of this is sent to us or anyone else. It is removed when you uninstall the game. If you have your phone's own backup turned on (Android backup or iCloud), it may be included in your personal backup; that backup is controlled by you and Google or Apple, not by us.

Ads (free version)

If you haven't bought Full Escape, the game shows a small number of ads: never during a puzzle, at most one short ad at a break (for example between worlds), and optional rewarded ads you can choose to watch for a hint or to skip a level. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google's software in the game may collect and process:

Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the game asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, using Google's consent form, and an Ad privacy option in the menu lets you change your choice at any time. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads). On iPhone and iPad the game never asks to track you, so the ads cannot use Apple's advertising identifier. How Google uses this information is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and in Google's Privacy Policy.

Buying Full Escape removes all ads, and the ad software then no longer shows ads to you.

Purchases

Full Escape is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play on Android and by the App Store on iPhone and iPad. We never see your card or payment details; the store only tells the game that the purchase belongs to your account, so it can be restored if you reinstall (use Restore purchase on the Full Escape screen). Payments are covered by the Google Payments Privacy Notice and Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone. The game itself collects none; the ads described above are the only part that uses device data, and they are limited to content suitable for a general audience.

Deleting your data

There is no account and nothing is stored by us, so there is nothing for us to delete. Uninstalling the game removes everything it saved on your phone. To reset or delete your advertising ID, use your phone's privacy settings. For anything else, email us and we'll help.

Terms of use

The game is provided for personal entertainment. You may play it on your devices; please don't copy, resell or redistribute it, or modify it to cheat on leaderboards. Full Escape is a licence to use the extra content and ad-free play in the game; refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their refund policies. The game is provided "as is", and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses from using it. These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.

Changes

If the game changes what it does with data (for example if online leaderboards are added), this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
