PlayStation Plus subscribers are in for a treat this July, as Sony has announced an impressive lineup of free games that will provide over 100 hours of gameplay. This selection is being hailed as one of the Essential tier's strongest months all year.
Before the new games become available, subscribers still have until July 3rd to claim the current offerings, which include NBA 2K23, Trek to Yomi, and Jurassic World Evolution 2. Once claimed, these games can be played at any time, as long as the PlayStation Plus subscription remains active. In addition to these titles, there are also bonus freebies currently available, such as an exclusive outfit for Fortnite players and a cosmetic pack for Call of Duty: Warzone fans featuring an operator skin.
From July 4th, subscribers will be able to get their hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake Remastered, and Endling - Extinction is Forever. This diverse lineup is sure to excite gamers of various tastes. One Reddit user, ZXXII, pointed out that these three games collectively offer more than 100 hours of gameplay to complete.
The user also provided estimates for the time it takes to complete the main stories of each game as well as achieve their Platinum trophies. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is projected to require around 70 hours (or six hours for the main content alone) for the Platinum trophy. Endling - Extinction is Forever offers a shorter experience, with completion taking approximately six hours (or four hours for the main story). Finally, Alan Wake Remastered will take around 25 hours to achieve the Platinum trophy, with the main campaign requiring 10 hours.
In total, players looking to obtain all three Platinum trophies can expect to spend approximately 101 hours immersed in these games. However, if you're more interested in completing the games quickly, it should take around 20 hours to finish all of them.
