Online shopping has become a popular and convenient way of purchasing goods, but it also comes with its own set of risks, as evidenced by this recent experience of a shopper who fell victim to a scam.
The shopper, who had been purchasing CDs from a seller named Jahanzaib Mazhar for the past two to three months, initially thought he was a trusted seller. However, things took a turn for the worse when the shopper ordered two PS4 slim 500GB consoles, one for 46K and another for 56K with jailbreak. The seller assured him that the only issue was with the box, but the original product would be delivered.
But when the shopper received the delivery, he found that the HDMI cable, power cable, charging cable, jailbreak USB, and both machine controllers were missing, and all of them were copied. Despite his concerns, the seller demanded payment of the remaining 5000. The shopper put a hold on the payment and the seller started sending him constant messages demanding the payment.
The shopper eventually reached out to the seller and asked him to return the money or send the original product with the cables and controllers. However, the seller refused to comply and instead started arguing. The shopper also spoke to the shop from where the seller claimed to have purchased the items, but the shopkeeper denied any such transaction.
In the end, the shopper had to settle the matter peacefully but with a warning to others to be cautious when shopping online. This experience serves as a reminder that, while online shopping can be convenient, it is important to do proper research and exercise caution when dealing with unknown sellers to avoid falling victim to scams.
