The winning entry in the London Games Festival Design a Poster competition was submitted by Joe Meizies and featured a silhouetted figure on horseback. All entries were displayed around Trafalgar Square as part of the London Games Festival, which ends on April 10. Meizies' poster was inspired by a silhouette he saw in an old photograph of his great-grandfather, who was a cavalry officer in World War I. "I wanted to create something that would capture the scale and excitement of the games, while also paying tribute to those who have fought for our country," said Meizies. "I'm thrilled that my poster will be on display in such a iconic location."
